I see my role as that of an explorer, a facilitator and a co-creator. This means that I embrace uncertainty and complexity and work with others to ask questions, challenge assumptions, integrate multiple perspectives, make ideas tangible, gather feedback, conceptualize and embody solutions, etc.
Only by letting things unfold and iterating on shared knowledge can I build up a picture of the problem that becomes crucial to make informed design decisions and drive solutions forward.
